Flexible seating promotes brain development, structured movement within the classroom to promote learning, and promotes kinesthetic learning. Early childhood development depends on creative teaching. These seats will give the teachers more options for small group lessons. Setting an area in the class for seated reading will also help my students grow. The students will gravitate toward the seating because it is new to them and fun. Imagine being allowed the option between a beanbag or the floor? A cushion or a hard seat where their little legs fatigue quickly. This will benefit the classroom for many years to come as the seats can be reused. The seating is essential to special needs students as many students in the class have sensory issues and require movement as part of sensory diets.
