Who are my students and what are they like? My students are eager and excited at the chance to learn. They are students from a new generation that seem to be born using technology. A majority of my students have access to computers, tablets and phones.. and I'm sure they could teach me a thing or two! Our school is an exciting place with dedicated teachers and families. We are huge on recycling and hold our students to very high standards.
My kindergarten students are using higher order thinking, problem solving and are learning to question the world around them. They are curious and determined. They have NO idea what Common Core is, yet they are meeting the high standards set for them. They care about the people around them and love to help each other and their teacher. They have varying socioeconomic status, ethnicity, religion and backgrounds but they see each other as equal.
My students are very different yet they have one thing in common... they LOVE technology!
