Due to Covid-19, we are starting the school year remoteIy. I am tasked with starting out the beginning band students, which is a true passion of mine as an educator! I STILL remember the feeling of "joining the band" and finding a place to belong! And I LOVE passing that feeling along to my students.
The issue this year is finding ways to do this without being in the same room with the students. This will be a challenge since band is an "activity" class. The high school we feed into is recognized as one of the top bands in the state, every year. I want to make sure my students get a strong start despite the distance between us. I have already purchased a few resources off of the Teachers Pay Teachers resource website (out of my own pocket) but there is so much more that my students will need to ensure the best start possible that I just cannot afford on my own. Thank you in advance for allowing me to "keep the music playing"!
