This carpet will help build a safe and inclusive community in the classroom for all students. Students will meet on this carpet throughout the day for each subject's mini-lesson, morning meeting, group work, book clubs, and as choice seating in the classroom. Lastly, this carpet will help my students develop the lifelong skill of respecting others' personal space. The lack of understanding of personal space is impacting their ability to focus on their school work. Having a classroom rug will help us connect and respect one another. Most importantly, it will help these fourth grade students in reaching their fullest potential.
