Being the typical pre-teens, my students absolutely love music! No matter the topic or day, music resinates with them. One of their favorite things is when I agree to play music. However, my CD player is limited as to what can be played, as is my CD collection.
Having an iPod would allow me to purchase specific songs that not only are motivational to my students, but relevant to my content. It would give me the ability to play music at any point more quickly thus loosing less instructional time. I am always trying to incorporate music into my curriculum. Having the freedom to purchase a song quickly online rather than spending triple the amount of money and having to run to the store really would save a lot of time. It would also open up more creativity to relate music to our content. This is turn would lead to more interest, and hopefully more success in the classroom.
