Instead of ignoring a child's innate need for movement, ball chairs channel their physical energy in a positive way, allowing them to focus on their work more completely and reach their full potential as learners. My students have little to no recess in their daily school schedule. Many have IEPs that label my students with ADHD, ADD and emotional disorders. When you take recess away from students that already have sensory and focusing disorders and expect them to work well on assignments while sitting at a desk all day, are we as educators really being reasonable? Please help me give my students a chance to succeed in the classroom with this small but highly effective resource. Thank you.
