Exposure to technology within the classroom is imperative for my students, as many of them do not have access to digital information sources. Cases for the iPads would ensure a lasting protection of the devices. Headphones for the iPads will allow students to focus on the task at hand and will also create a quieter learning environment to increase student involvement.
My students live in a high poverty community and would greatly benefit from iPads within the classroom to build excitement, fact fluency, and engagement. I am so proud of all of my students' progress this year and I know my students will continue to blossom through the use of iPads. Differentiation of learning will improve through the implementation of iPads as students with special needs will be able to participate in remedial activities with apps to build confidence in themselves and their achievements. This grant will provide my students with an opportunity they may not have access to otherwise.
