As a teacher in special education, it is important to provide my students with equity and equal access to learning. Though my students disabilities range, what doesn't is the culture & structure that is provided to my students. In my classroom, you'll find pictures of my students - everywhere. You'll find several options for flexible seating. You'll find a library, w/ a variety of book selections because reading is very important. Though silent at times, my students are always engaged in instruction, collaboration and are provided rigor in their learning. This is because, I don't see my students as individuals with a disability; rather they just have different abilities!
