Working in an under privilege neighborhood grants me a great respect for these learners. They have to put aside thoughts of their reality, and come to school ready to learn.
It's hard to escape your reality when your classroom doesn't even have enough crayons for every scholar. We are asking for pencils, glue, Play-Doh, crayons, and dry-erase markers to help our classroom. We do what we can with what we have but your help would be greatly appreciated to ensure our classroom runs more smoothly. We can practice making our sight words out of PlayDoh. When we color, we can use the correct color instead of the color we have. Thank you in advance for your help!
