Help give my students flexible seating that allows them to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Currently, my students are able to work at different tables, laying on the carpet with a clipboard, or working at their desks. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. Currently, I have a few crate seats and regular stools. The bean bag chairs and balance balls will provide my students with variety for how and where they want to sit.
