鈥淲e need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher鈥檚 hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world.鈥 - David Warlick.
With the help of your donations, my students will no longer have to ask whether we are going to use technology; they will have access to technology every day. As a first year upper-elementary school teacher, my ultimate goal is to provide my students with multiple learning opportunities. I believe that increased access to technology is simply a window into a world of information and learning. Having iPads in the classroom will allow my students to tap into that wealth of knowledge in a way that is currently unavailable.
I look forward to using iPads to supplement daily classroom instruction. With your donation, I will be able to create literacy and math centers, integrate online programs that provide differentiated instruction for math and literacy, and use online games and virtual math manipulatives. The iPads will also allow students to access up-to-date information for various science and social studies units when nonfiction books are expensive and unavailable.
I cannot wait to provide increased access to technology to my students who are eager and excited to learn. Improving their 21st century skills is an added benefit that will prepare them for the real world. I truly believe that increased access to technology in the classroom will help my students succeed.
