My students attend a K-5 school in a rural part of town. The majority of the population is Hispanic and Native American, so most of my students are English Language Learners. The entire student population receives federally funded breakfast and lunch. They are extremely bright, but with lack of supplies or funding, my students do not always get the same opportunities as students in other districts. My students are eager to learn. Our school is an active part of the community, creating a family environment within our halls, as seen through our parent volunteers.
