"A mind when stretched by a new idea never regains its original dimensions."
I am lucky to work with high school students in grades 9-12. We are a rural, low-income school district surrounded by farmland, which many students live and work on. I teach Biology, Zoology, and Forensic Science to about 115 students per year. I strive to encourage my students and not only teach them to like science but to love learning. I try to present information so that all styles of learners can take something from each lesson. I regularly include video clips, science songs, hands-on projects, technology, and labs into my classes. Working with Donors Choose I hope to bring more hands-on experiences to my students. Your donations make hands-on learning a reality and give my students the experiences they need to prepare them for college and future careers. Thank you for your support!
