ESE students require a lot of hands-on project to keep them motived. By buying basic supplies, my students will be able to find their creative outlet instead of completing all assignments paper and pencil.
For example we will create interactive notebooks. Students will keep notebooks that will contain notes, glued pictures, drawn pictures, different foldable with information-- that is all handmade. They will be able to use this notebook to study for tests.
Some of the resources, such as the crayola class packs and sharpies will be ideal for students to be creative when creating their own interactive notebooks. They will be able to have a more exciting notebook to create and study from rather than just a black and white notebook. They may also paint certain layouts and include them in their notebooks by gluing them. The colored paper can be used to make foldables that can be glued into the notebook. These foldable may include vocabulary words, math terms, example math problems, how to solve math problems, etc.
Because they made it themselves, they will learn the information easier as well as keep busy so they do not make inappropriate choices that could hinder their education.
