I teach 21 fantastic students at a Title I school on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Our school is truly a barrier free zone, serving all students who come through our doors. Almost 10% of our students are English language learners and 33% are students with disabilities. Almost half of our students stay in after-school until after 5 PM each day while their parents work.
