My 6th grade English Language Arts students are active readers and writers. They love sharing books and ideas. They snatch up new books as soon as they come into the classroom and read through them rapidly.
These students come from a small, low income, rural farming community. Quite a few of them qualify for Title 1 services and more than half of the district qualifies for free/reduced lunch. Despite these obstacles, they still come to school eager to improve their reading and writing.
I am eagerly looking for ways to fully support them in their reading adventures. Thank you for your support!
