We are a campus library that serves three unique schools in New York. Our school library serves Title I schools with over 80% of the student population qualifying for free and reduced lunch. Our students are inquisitive and eager 6th-12th graders that come from a community that has severe socio-economic challenges.
While we live in a digital age our students do not have access to digital media and technology. As digital natives, our students must be taught to integrate technology with literature. Unfortunately, our lack of digital media makes it virtually impossible for our students to begin fusing their love of technology with literature.
