It is time to do away with the desks and chairs and give my students the classroom that fits each of their individual needs! Research on flexible seating has shown benefits in areas including increased motivation and engagement, increased metabolism, better oxygen flow to the brain, and it teaches students about how to make important choices regarding their learning! Flexible seating options such as stability cushions, ottomans, and tables with various heights will increase productivity and give my students a say in their education! These options will allow my students to feel comfortable while completing collaborative projects, during classroom discussions, and while pursuing their personal passions. I can't wait to see my students learn in a collaborative space that fits with each of their unique learning styles.
