I am in my sixth year of teaching math at a Social Justice, College Preparatory Magnet School. I am also an academic advisor and Student Government Mentor. My students go to school all year round, so they are constantly learning and building skills. My favorite part about being a teacher is building relationships with my students and watching them grow. My students are energetic, hard-working, and enthusiastic about learning. They love to show off their knowledge and understanding in many ways. We have five Learner Expectations and they all focus our kids on making changes in the lives of others. Donor's Choose allows them to see that there are other people who want to make a difference in their lives.
