We are looking to add an Amazon Echo Alexa to our classroom so we can expand our skills and keep up-to-date with changing technology. There are many ways that Alexa can help students in the classroom. With the advancing of technology, it is more important than ever for students to learn how to access and utilize these tools. We plan to use Alexa for skills in academics by asking her how to spell a specific word, suggest a synonym, or provide a definition. For math, students can check their work without needing a teacher to help. We also cook weekly and Alexa is great at great at converting units of measurements. Our students love to keep up with current events and fun facts that Alexa can provide. The possibilities are endless when it comes to having this valuable piece of technology in our room.
