As 21st century learners our students are required to utilize and understand technology.
The use of laptops will help my low-level/high-potential learners bridge their gap.
In our classroom, the lessons require a lot of fundamental skills. We do have an intervention block, however 30 minutes a week is just not enough to bridge the gap. Unfortunately, once my students leave for the day, many of their educational pursuits cease.
Laptops will give my students the opportunity to work on those fundamental skills that are so crucial to our daily math lessons.
We will also be able to take virtual field trips for science class! We can engage in virtual learning opportunities and connect our classroom to the rest of world.
