I work with English Learners, (ELs), mostly Hispanic, who need additional support in reaching English language proficiency. It is a K-5th elementary school with a 95% Hispanic population and about 45% are identified as ELs. As an ESL resource teacher, I am able to work with these great students in a small group setting to focus on certain skills. The students enjoy learning new skills and like to ask questions to further their curiosities.
