Our students are curious and innovative individuals. They love being outdoors, learning by doing, and experimenting until they succeed or find a new way to think. Our school overwhelmingly serves students from a high poverty community in rural East Hawaii, where classroom resources and hands on learning materials are often hard to come by. Despite the daily challenges they face, our students' resiliency is felt both in and outside of the classroom. We are a class filled with cultural diversity and different learning levels. Together, we are building hearts + smarts!
