The world of the classroom is dramatically changing. Students are applying themselves in the classroom in such different ways then 50 years ago. They are thinking critically, integrating technology, and even participating in STEM activities. Yet, we are asking students to sit in the same ole chair and desk. Students need the ability to find a seating option that keeps them more engaged in order to do the higher level thinking that we are expecting them to do. These stability balls, chairs, wobble stools, and discs will help them find a seat that works best for them. They will be able to focus their abilities on their learning instead of their seat.
The donations to this project will create an environment in which students will be able to choose the seating option that works best for them; thus allowing them to collaborate, think critically, and be creative.
This will help them learn to be independent learners and take control of their learning environment, just like adults do.
