Having 4 Chromebooks would make a world of a difference for my third graders. My students would be able to research information about our home state, Louisiana, in Social Studies. Our social studies textbooks are outdated and we are useing a supplemental text. The majority of our curriculum is online and without the right tools, it makes researching hard and less hands-on. Our science curriculum is also online and requires us to research different topics. Only having one reliable computer in my classroom makes researching anything very difficult. In Reading and English Language Arts, my students would be able to write papers and learn the essential skills of typing. They would also be able to listen to their weekly stories online to reinforce their comprehension and reading skills. In math, students would be able to learn their multiplication and division facts using a program called "FastMath". They would also have the opportunity to continue their learning with the programs "TenMarks" and "Zearn".
