Since most of my students learn English as a second language, it is essential to provide opportunities for them to listen to the language in various ways. My classroom is full of engaging activities that get the students excited about learning. I want to expand these engaging activities by providing a consistent listening station.
Our class will have our own iPad available for them to listen to various types of audio books. The best part is that it will be their teacher reading these books to them!!! I use a recording app to record me reading. The students love it and look forward to the listening station. I also like the conveniency of being able to record any book I find that pertains to our lessons. Any book can be turned into an audio book for free!
