Hello, everybody, welcome to my page! I am Ms. Miramontes and I just finished my first year teaching- in a Special Day Class. I am absolutely inspired by my students and they make me strive to be the best teacher I can possibly be. I am in constant search of resources to keep my students engaged and curious about the world around them. As a special education teacher, I am blessed to be in a position where I can teach children to embrace who they are and to work hard to achieve their goals. I set high standards for my students and they are always reminded that the only obstacles that can keep them from their dreams are themselves. Positive thinking is achieved in my classroom by establishing a problem-solving attitude, rather than that of dwelling on that which we cannot control. I love what I do. I love my students. It takes a village to educate our children, and what a wonderful endeavor that is!
