My students are 5 and 6 years old and attend our charter school. 99% of our school is at poverty level and resources for them are a minimum. I have 3 non English speaking students in my classroom and I am more than proud to say that they have gained a HUGE English speaking vocabulary and do not speak their first language in class anymore. They work their hardest and best and do not give up. I am very proud to be their teacher. They are compassionate and have a great desire to learn new things. They love new challenges and are also very artistic!
