I chose a classroom rug for this project because I want to provide a friendly and inviting first grade classroom for my students. By having a classroom carpet, my students will have an assigned space for them to sit on during whole group instruction as well as be able to play on during center time. The classroom environment is so important in the primary years. I want it to be a space that children want to visit and spend time in! This project will help create a more comfortable space for the 36 students that my co-teacher and I share.

About my class
