Lockers will give our children the space to store their belongings and the opportunity to gain independence by taking responsibility for their own space and personal possessions. Children are better able to work on self-help skills such as putting on their coats, hats, gloves, and boots when they are given adequate space and can store these items in an organized way.
Children learn autonomy and leadership when they are given the opportunity to take responsibility for themselves.
The lockers will send the message to children that they are important and capable learners. The natural wood will provide a calming effect, making the children feel like they are at home when they come school.
