Students with Emotional Disturbances have a difficult time dealing with feelings and emotions. They would benefit from having a quiet space for them to remove themselves from difficult/frustrating situations or activities. Instead of sending them out of the classroom, this space would them remain in the classroom but still remove themselves from undesired situations.
This donation would help promote self-calming and reflective strategies that can help my students with Emotional Disabilities. This room divider would be used to convert the current Cool Down desk into an isolated Cool Down area. By having this space, we can make greater improvements in both their behaviors and social skills.
