Thank you for reading about my project!
I hope to use the reading materials on my list to help my students and their families (who speak Spanish at home) read with one another in a rotating check out system filled with bilingual books. Being a Special Educator parents often sit in meetings frustrated that they cannot help their students with their homework that is sent home in English. With Bilingual books, parents and their students can read together and form continuing bonds and not gaps due to language barriers.
My students learn most when they are using their hands (and not to simply write). The items such as dominoes and the wrap up keys will aid my students in looking at math from a different perspective.
Many of my students also have extra energy and have no where for that energy to go. Stools will allow them to have a bit of movement while still staying engaged and in their seats.
