These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because literacy and math stations like these are rigorous and engaging to their young minds. My students will get to be successful while learning basic skills and they will be able to have fun while learning! They do not realize how much they are learning while they are laughing and enjoying themselves.
These stations are easy to use, are durable, and will be used over and over to reinforce skills taught in class. My students need time to practice old skills, as well as new skills. Some of the skills my students will practice with these fun materials are rhyming, recognizing the beginning sound in words, building CVC words, identifying words with short and long vowels, and blends and digraphs, as well as counting to and recognizing numbers up to 20.
These materials will improve students' school lives because they will be able to complete a station with a partner or alone while I am working with students in small group on new reading or math skills.
