I teach middle school English/Language Arts in Chicago, IL. In total I have 110 students. We have 99% of students receiving free or reduced lunches at our school. Our school is committed to graduate all students prepared for success in high school and beyond, including those with special needs. Through an emphasis on literacy, mathematics, science and fine arts, our students will develop their skills, knowledge, attitudes, and values to take an active role in their learning, become critical thinkers and contribute productively to the community. We, in collaboration with students, parents, and members of the wider community, provide each student with a personalized education in a safe supportive environment; we promote self discipline, motivation, and excellence in learning for all students through the utilization of common instructional strategies and the integration of literacy and technology across the curriculum.
