Located on the Waianae coast of Hawaii, we are hoping that you can come together with our school to aid in making something wonderful happen for our students. Our school population is made up of 85% Native Hawaiian residents and has one of the highest concentrations of poverty in the state with 36% of students classified as homeless. We NEED your help in our efforts to improve student achievement. This year our efforts are to improve student transiency rates. We believe by creating a yearbook and web design class we can motivate students to capture their success throughout the year. Students love taking pictures as much as they love being in them. Many of them cannot afford and have no access to technology. This yearbook will provide tremendous encouragement for our economically disadvantaged keiki and will allow them to realize hard work can pay off with a tangible end product.
