I'm Michelle Link, fifth grade core teacher and Maker Lab Coordinator at AdVENTURE STEM @ Herman Intermediate School in San Jose, California. I taught for 7 years at two different Title 1s in our district before starting at AdV last year. In Summer 2016, I earned my Maker Certificate from Sonoma State University.
Our school culture is project-based, cooperative, and focused on solving real world problems. I currently teach fifth grade literacy, social studies, math, and a Tech/Middle School Life-Hacking elective course I designed for our rigorous STEM program for fifth through eight graders. This year, I will host the Maker Club and Maker Hour in the new AdVENTURE Makerspace, my passion project.
Next year, I will be hosting an ELD Intervention in the Makerspace.
