Math is the language of science; together they create new inventions for society to use. Through your support my students will use the tools of this project to understand 3-D objects by building them using Zome tools and then manipulating these objects on the iPAD.
Building models will help my students to understand how volume is affected by surface area. We will explore the applications in Science-space station, containers for shipping, etc.
As my photo shows I make learning fun. We even use crackers to learn the Pythagorean Theorem. Hands-on, collaborative learning is what middle school students want and remember.
I have many students with special needs from processing disabilities to gifted students that thrive when given creative avenues to express their ideas. With 45% of my students receiving Free/Reduce lunch, help me to bring them into the 21st century with these tools. Please support our project!
