Our school follows a model where our learning environment becomes an integral part of the learning process. We focus on the creation of neutral and beautiful spaces where the student's high quality work is always the focal point. This high quality work is not just displayed, it becomes interactive and the students adapt and modify as their understanding of a concept develops!
As we encourage flexiblity within our learning spaces, the children are free to take these floor pillows and work either independently or collaboratively with their peers.
Giving students choice about where they will work in the learning environment promotes independence and self-awareness of their individual work habits. At our school, we ensure that we are not limiting a students potential due to restrictions on where they need to complete learning activities.
