I have approximately 100 students. They are sixth graders who are eager to learn. They listen intently to the historical stories we read, but it really excites them to see the who or what we are talking about in pictures. Most of my students will never travel to see the historical landmarks about which they study. They find the stories interesting and always want to know more. We live in a small town in Arkansas and have a low socioeconomic background. For this reason many of my students will read and study about many places and events in history, but they will never actually see the places or remnants of historical documentation left behind.
