A girl-empowering book club is one where girls read books in which girls and women are the star characters rather than only being portrayed as sidekicks or damsels in distress. In these books, girls are the ones saving the day, going on the adventure, or maybe just successfully navigating middle school.
The books I chose for the book club are ones that honor girls and their diverse abilities and interests. This book club will provide girls with incredible educational, social, and self-esteem increasing benefits that will empower smart, confident, and courageous girls. There are books for every month for the club and for every member.
