Research has shown that certain light creates a calming effect for students with ASD. Certain light has proven to enhance creativity, and offers a way for students to control the visual stimuli within their environment.
Help me, help my students learn by offering them adaptive lessons on the light table that will support everything from language, math, science, and sensory needs.
The light table will be accessible to students every day throughout the daily routine where they can explore different concepts such as building, colors, numbers/mathematics, shapes, observations of natural materials, literacy/letters...the possibilities are endless!
After experiencing the success of my crafted light table, I look forward to expanding the activities, and becoming more creative with lessons for our 2018/2019 class with a new light table.
