I am an art teacher working with kindergarten through sixth grade students. I serve two schools, and I enjoy what I do. The percentages of students receiving free and reduced lunch are very high. I strive to bring the power of creativity to my students. I explain that most employers want employees that are flexible and creative thinkers. So, students understand that in art class they are not learning how to be artists, but exercising their creativity.
