I want to build a reading cave for my students where they will want to go and read during their independent practice/free time. Books in Spanish are not easy to attain. I want to build them a Spanish reading cave which will help them with their reading fluency and comprehension in Spanish which is the language they test in. I will use a corner in the classroom to put down the activity carpet with the different types of seats: beanbags, wobble cushions, balance balls, and pillows for them to be comfortable and read. Due to the lack of resources the parents might have, they might not be able to purchase books for their kids, and authentic Spanish books are pretty pricey and hard to find. Therefore, the students' reading exposure to authentic Spanish text relies solely on what the school can provide for them. If I could get a few for them in my classroom so they can read them and take them home, it would help them all so much.
