My students attend an inner city school that was "borderline failing" last year. They are predominantly of East Indian and South American background. Many have a strong interest in singing and rapping and are currently pursuing musical careers outside of school. Unfortunately, their attendance in school has suffered as a result. Last year, I created a Music Production Club in my school, that became very popular with the students. We saw many students returning to class so that they would be eligible to participate in the club. This is not surprising, as studio time can be very expensive.
