I have great students. They are generally well-behaved, interested in what we're learning about in class, and are happy to engage in discussions on any number of subjects. They have a wide range of economic situations, but a very high percentage of my students are economically disadvantaged and on free or reduced lunch. Some of my students have access to Internet and computers at home, some do not. Some of them have access to smartphones, others do not. Compounding the problem for those students who have little personal access to technology is the fact that our school is sorely lacking in the technology we need. My high school has approximately 900-1000 students, but we have only two computer labs available at any given time with a total of about 50 computers. And most of the time, those labs are being used by other teachers.
