Welcome to my science classroom! I teach middle school science in east San Jose, California, a tremendously diverse urban city with all the educational challenges that come with it. My students are predominantly Latino and southeast Asian/Pacific Islander, the vast majority of whom have never had a science class before. They come to me not knowing about cells, energy, or molecules, not knowing the engineering design process, or how to conduct experiments, or even how to ask scientific questions. But I love them; they make my job worth it every day. We may not have the most money, but we certainly have the most heart and desire to better ourselves and our community. Help me encourage the enviable and unremitting obsession that is curiosity, as even Einstein once said, "I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious."
