My students come from a strong community and are products of hardworking families. Each student is a goal setter and has a clear idea of what they would like to accomplish.
My students attend a Title I school. Among the students at our school, 84% qualify for free or reduced priced lunch. Our school's population has the majority of students as English language learners. We have an incredibly diverse population, with 27 different languages being spoken at the homes of our students.
While many of our students are familiar with technology, many do not have access to technology at home. School is the only opportunity for meaningful exposure. For students that do have access at home, they see technology as a toy rather than a tool for learning.
