I teach a class of 40 students in a Title I school, where 97% of my students are Black and Native American from low-income families. Nearly all qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, highlighting the significant economic challenges they face. Despite these hardships, my students are eager to learn and thrive when given the right resources and support.
