Our students at C. T. Sewell are an amazing group, as a whole they strive to be successful and achieve new heights in each day they come to school. At Sewell, the good gets better, the better gets best and we do not let it rest, as our motto says. Many of our students come from an impoverish environment, many of my students are fortunate to receive free and reduced lunches, snack bags to get them through the weekends and many also get a multitude of services offered to them because they truly do need all the help they can get.
As an educator any barrier we can remove is an straighter path to success. This is why I reflect on my instructional practice regularly and have decided to focus on creating a new layer to instruction with having a instructional area rug to create a soft and inviting area for students to learn.
