My students will use these handheld microphones and action cameras will allow my students to take their small group discussions and book talks, and make them into podcasts and web casts. The microphones will help to provide the audio used for the students' podcasts. They will then use the combination of the microphones and cameras to create webcasts about various topics during Social Studies class. During Social Studies classes, my students are given the freedom to express their knowledge and understanding through different choice board projects. The recording items were chosen with the intent of allowing the students to use their creativity to complete various activities and assessments. Students in my classes are asked to demonstrate their knowledge on the topics, as well as REAL WORLD issues, using modern and relevant platforms.
